Film Tracking Assignment - The Sapphires

I was given the film The Sapphires to track

What the film is about...
1968 was the year that changed the world. And for four young Aboriginal sisters from a remote mission this is the year that would change their lives forever. Around the globe, there was protest and revolution in the streets. Indigenous Australians finally secured the right to vote. There were drugs and the shock of a brutal assassination. And there was Vietnam. The sisters, Cynthia, Gail, Julie and Kay are discovered by Dave, a talent scout with a kind heart, very little rhythm but a great knowledge of soul music. Billed as Australia's answer to 'The Supremes', Dave secures the sisters their first true gig, and flies them to Vietnam to sing for the American troops. Based on a true story, THE SAPPHIRES is a triumphant celebration of youthful emotion, family and music

Director...
Wayne Blair directed the film, I don't feel that Blair is a well known director and that his star power brought anything to the film or why he was hired I feel that he could of gotten the job due to his experience and nominations and awards won basing along the lines of 'Best short film' and 'Best narrative'...

I could not find how much the actors were paid this could be the case  because this was a low budget movie casted with unknown actors that I imagine they weren't paid very much.

PG (parental guidance) The benifit of having a PG rating is that anyone can go see it the audience is much wider and therefore more people can go see their movie at the cinema making more money for the film.

Director statement
When I read this script I feel the energy and emotion pulsing in my veins. The Sapphires are four black twenty-something women who, for one brief period of time, have an opportunity to transcend the circumstances they’re born into and reach their full potential not only as musical talents but more so as human beings. The Sapphires is inspired by a true story, and it possesses all the qualities of ordinary people achieving amazing things in extraordinary circumstances. Four sexy, young, talented, black, strong women, make a decision and take a chance.
